Luluc return to Jack Off with Jack Shit – exploring the expat experience that followed their relocation to the Big Apple and proffering a profound slice of their pristine signature sound live.
When the Victorian duo last appeared on Jack Off in 2008 they were about to relocate permanently to NYC. Since then the world has become increasingly attuned to their unparalleled harmonic gifts. They’ve expanded their practice via collaborations and invitations, yet continue to sound unique and almost painfully personal.
On the occasion of Invasion Day they joined Jack again – reminiscing about escaping awkward rural home-town origins, never living down bad band names, meeting for the first time in Edinburgh and striking out into the world-at-large via the eternal twilight of transit.
Prior to this complex (and highly entertaining) conversation they played a devastatingly stark version of recent single ‘Me and Jasper’, as exquisite an assertion of identity over inertia as you are ever likely to hear.
Listen closely and be lost in a melancholic rapture in mere minutes…
